Survey finds Zurich most pleasant airport in Europe
A report just released shows customers in Europe are most satisfied at Zurich’s airport.

A newly-published report has determined that the maximum customer satisfaction amongst European airports is found at Zurich’s airport. The study, released last week, was carried about by Aeroports de Paris, the French airports operator.
In the survey, almost one traveller in 10 said they were very satisfied or satisfied with their experience travelling through Switzerland’s Zurich International Airport. The Swiss airport beat other airports in the survey, receiving the highest score by far.
The survey of 16 European airports was carried out by market research firm BVA. The study found Paris Orly airport came second, with a satisfaction score of 87 per cent.
The smaller of two airports serving the French capital topped Amsterdam’s Schiphol, which received a score of 86 per cent. The bigger hubs in Europe, however, did not fare quite so well.
Paris Charles de Gaulle airport managed to get an eighth place in the report. London Heathrow, the world’s busiest airport in the EU and the fourth busiest in the world, just managed to squeeze into the top ten, two places below Schiphol.
In the survey, some 3,700 travellers using some the busiest airports in Europe were question on a range of things from customs checkpoints to baggage facilities. According to Europe’s travellers, Copenhagen offers the best airport-parking experience.
All of the travellers questioned said they were happy with Copenhagen airport’s parking. For the best elevators and toilets, however, you’ll need to travel through Germany’s Munich Airport.
