The UK flag carrier is to launch daily flights between London and Hyderabad.

According to a report published by The Hindu at on Wednesday, British Airways will begin offering daily service between its Heathrow hub and the Indian city beginning 27 October. Previously, the carrier operated the route six days per week.

British Airways officials said that the airline will utilise one of its Boeing 777-200 aircraft on the new frequency; flights will operate daily departing the UK capital at 06:55am and will return to the UK at 04:55 the next morning. The service will feature the following classes: World Traveller, World Traveller Plus, Business Class and Club World (first class).

BA’s regional commercial manager Christopher Fordyce said in a statement that the airline saw a 20 per cent passenger increase on the route when the service expanded to six days weekly, adding that he expects an additional boost with the addition of daily service.

According to the airline’s management, India is the BA’s second-largest international market after the United States.
