A new roaming agreement made between Trustive and BT Openzone is aiming to provide Trustive customers with access to BT Openzone network in more than 3,600 hotspots in Ireland and the UK. The joint initiative will boost Trustive’s existing coverage at major UK airports, such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted, and in top hotel chains that are popular with frequent travellers.
Trustive is the leading international Wi-Fi hotspot provider in Europe. The service provider gives travellers wide Wi-Fi coverage by combining over 70 top Wi-Fi operators into one global network of hotspots.
Over Ireland and the UK, BT Openzone provides access to over 3,600 locations, including eminent coffee stores Starbucks and Caffe Nero, airport lounges, city centres, marinas and campsites.
Christian Van Ghelder, Managing Director of Trustive, said that the partnership between the company and BT Openzone will provide customers with a more broad coverage for Wi-Fi connectivity whenever they need it most, especially while in hotels, airports and key travel hubs. Meanwhile, the Head of the Wholesale and International Roaming of BT Openzone, Marjorie Leonidas, said that hotspots will allow customers to surf the internet, email, share multimedia and play their favourite games online, while on the move.
In a recent survey of mobile data users by Trustive and Stoke, respondents believed that Internet connectivity and access is necessary at all times. According to the polls, users choose their mobile Wi-Fi provider by price, but most of them consider high quality coverage as essential as well. In addition, mobile subscribers increasingly use Wi-Fi, and favour operators offering both cellular and Wi-Fi services in one network.
