New transport system opens at Gatwick
System is in place 2 months early
Airport news for Gatwick on 02/07/2010.
The new shuttle service at Gatwick Airport has opened ahead of schedule. Whilst the passengers have had to use buses to travel between two sites, workers have been working hard to meet deadlines.
The buses have been in operation since the closure in September 2009 with a date of September 2010.
The £45 million upgrade will mean a speedier service from north and south terminals and has replaced a system first implemented in 1987.
