After nearly a year of construction, Branson’s new airport is finally ready. This 58,000 square foot terminal features a 7,140 runway and is set to offer visitors a new experience in air travel.

Situated in the Ozark hills, is unique in the fact that it received no federal money to complete the $155-million project, meaning that the builders had no red tape to wade through and were able to finish in record time.

Although the town of Branson has just 7,500 residents, it attracts more than eight million visitors each year, most of whom travel great distances to take in a show at one of the town’s 50 theatres, visit friends and relatives and simply take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The new airport is expected to attract even more visitors this year, as people take advantage of the easy access to the town. A large number of businesses are already opening all over town in anticipation of the new arrivals. It is believed by many that the town – which is surrounded by intense natural beauty – will soon become one of the top destinations in Missouri, if not the whole of North America.
